Add Device to ABM

Manage Engine allows you to manage your MacOS device with an ABM account. You must link your ABM account to Manage Engine first (see the prerequisites section).

Tech Lockdown Team

Once you have an ABM account and have connected it to Manage Engine (see prerequisites section), you'll add the MacOS device you want to manage to ABM.

Sign up for Apple Business Manager

Learn how to get your own ABM account so that you can fully manage Apple devices.

Setup Apple Configurator on an iPhone

Before proceeding, make sure Apple Configurator works on your iPhone and that you can connect your ABM account to the app.

Run Device Updates

Make sure your iPhone is fully up to date. Run any outstanding updates before downloading Apple Configurator

Download Apple Configurator from the App Store.

Allow Apple configurator to use Bluetooth

If you can't sign in

If you get an error stating that you need to sign in with an account with a Device Enrollment Manager role, do the following:

Go to your Apple Business Manager account and add a new user with the Device Enrollment Manager role and specify your location

After saving the new user, select Create Sign-in and go through the setup process so that you can login with this user account

Once this new account is set up, go back to Apple Configurator on your iPhone and sign in with this new account

Open Settings and Share Wi-Fi connection

Select Done
