Remotely install an App on your managed iPhone

Remotely force install an app directly on your iOS device without interacting with the device.

Navigate to Device Mgmt > App Repository and click the Apple App Management tab

Click Configure apps for business

In Apple Business Manager, navigate to preferences > Payments and Billing > Apps and Books

Click Get Started and finish the setup process so that you get a location token. It will ask you to attach a payment method to the account in case you purchase any apps licenses.

Download the location token

Back in Manage Engine, upload the location token

Search for an app, we'll use a Blocker app in this example

Modify the app policy settings. This will vary depending on the app.

Save changes and then click the distribute button

If you don't have a distribute button, go back to the App Repository > Select the app, then click the Actions dropdown in the top right and select Distribute

Select your iOS group, check Silent Installation if you want to automatically install it on the device. Otherwise, select Distribute to App Catalog and then click Distribute App.

The app should be installed on the device
