Tip: Temporarily Disable Auto Lock
Temporarily disable auto-lock on your iOS device so that you don't have to keep unlocking your device during this tutorial. This should be in Settings > Display & Brightness > Auto Lock
Note
You cannot restore an iCloud backup or it will remove device supervision. Make sure that you have backed up any two-factor authentication apps that you use
On your iPhone
I get a notification on my iPhone that asks whether I should proceed with Partial Setup.
Proceed with Partial Setup - do NOT do a complete reset. A complete reset usually undoes supervision settings that Apple Configurator enabled when you first erased your iPhone.
Important
Do not restore from an iCloud backup.
Next Steps
Is your iPhone in Supervised mode? Then you're ready to create a profile to configure settings on your supervised device.
This next section will show you how to customize profiles on the Tech Lockdown dashboard.
